  Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., formerly known as Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., is a limited liability company mainly engaged in the manufacturing of general equipment. It was established on August 4, 1992, with a registered capital of RMB 182479156069. Its headquarters is located at No. 2 Yuchai Road, Yuzhou District, Yulin City, Guangxi. Its main business includes the manufacturing and sales of diesel engines, gasoline engines, and generator sets, as well as the development of computer software, hardware, and peripheral equipment. The chairman and legal representative are Li Hanyang.  

 

  In July 1951, the predecessor of Yuchai Group, Yulin Quantang Industrial Society, was established. In 1984, the first prototype of 6105QA direct injection diesel engine was successfully developed, which changed the history of domestic swirl diesel engines [16]. In 1992, Yuchai implemented a shareholding reform and established Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. In 1993, the company implemented a Sino foreign joint venture shareholding reform [18-19]. In June 1995, it was named the largest internal combustion engine production base in China. On November 29, 2000, the company's postdoctoral research workstation was established with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources. In February 2006, the first domestically produced Guo-4 diesel engine was introduced in Yuchai. In October 2007, China's first ISG hybrid power was introduced in Yuchai. On November 16, 2011, the National Development and Reform Commission awarded Yuchai the plaque of "National Engineering Laboratory" [17] [21-22]. On February 19, 2016, a joint venture signing ceremony was held with MTU, a German company. In 2019, an advanced intelligent factory based on German Industry 4.0, the Black Light Factory, was built. On December 28, 2021, Yuchai Group's 10 millionth engine was taken offline. On December 31, 2024, Yuchai and ChemChina signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Yulin.

 

  On July 14, 2012, Yuchai Group was awarded the title of "National Demonstration Base for Corporate Culture Construction". In November 2023, selected as a national level intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory for 2023. In December 2025, selected for the nomination list for the 7th Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Chairman's Quality Award.
